What Should be Paid Attention to When Drying Elephant Grass?

As an important raw material for biomass fuel and feed, elephant grass has high moisture content and numerous impurities after harvesting. If it is directly dried without pretreatment, it can easily clog the equipment and affect efficiency.

The elephant grass drying production line designed by our company for Indian clients incorporates a trommel screen at the front end, which effectively removes impurities such as mud clots and stones while uniformly grading the grass, creating optimal conditions for subsequent drying.

After screening, the moist elephant grass enters the rotary dryer, where it is continuously tossed by lifting flights to ensure full contact with the hot air. This process rapidly reduces the moisture content, consistently bringing it down to below 15%.

The entire production line is equipped with a dust removal system and an electrical control system, enabling automated and clean operation. This solution significantly enhances drying efficiency and equipment stability, making it particularly suitable for large-scale elephant grass processing projects.
